  @smperris: I use the word panties for female underwear. In fact, all the females I know in the USA do.

  I sometimes make major faux pas using the word panties for my husband's underwear, which he quickly and firmly corrects me. "They are *not* panties but underwear."

  I never saw smoke. I only smelled an electrical burning smell and It would not turn on. I took it apart and looked around but did not see anything so I plugged it in and tried to turned it on. The smell came back really strong. I quickly pulled the plug. My main concern was my hard drive so I pulled it out. Luckily it is fine.

  I should go back and explore it to see what caused the problem, but I won't put the hard drive back in. I might see if I can use some of the parts in other computers.

  @GeekSpeaker: It does not get this hot in the Philippines? I imagined it not only got hot but humid as well. It gets quite hot and humid here. Many days above 90F. Only a few over 100F. Thank goodness. But VERY humid!

  The good news is I will be complaining about the cold in a few months. :-)

  I dated a soccer (football) player way back in high school. He was the same way. So I guess I understand.

  [sigh] Insurance gets so complicated.

  Do you mean you have to wait that long for your surgery, even though you are in pain? Well, that sucks. Here that rarely happens. There always seems to be a doctor and an operating room if you have the insurance or the money.

  Several thousand even with insurance??? That is bad as in the USA!

  Swimming is a good way to stay active without stressing your knees.
